BRUCE MINES, PLUMMER ADDITIONAL & JOHNSON TOWNSHIPS

Bruce Mines and Plummer Additional Township are located on Lake Huron about 65 km east of Sault Ste. Marie. Founded in the 19th century as a copper mine, it is now a hospitality and tourism site on the Trans Canada highway. It has a marina, campground, an active public library, and a primary school (to grade 8) as well as the services such as a bank, grocery store, liquor store, gas station, and post office. High School Students travel to Central Algoma Secondary School just 10 minutes away in Desbarats. Many homes ring the sheltered natural bay. Industries in the area outside of town include logging and shipping of industrial grade rock. The Central Algoma Health Centre provides two exam rooms and private office for physicians. Experienced and dedicated staff provides support to physicians. Our salary incentives include:

  • Our alternate payment plan is the Rural and Northern Physician Group Agreement, group 2. This includes a generous annual salary, maternity leave, 5% bonus on office shadow billing, 20% bonus on ER shadow billing, a CME bonus and annual preventive care bonuses, among others.
